PRINX’s development approach for future models is clear, products are engineered and validated in Germany, then manufactured using advanced, high technology processes in Thailand and Malaysia. Within this framework, the Hannover Tech Centre plays a key role, ensuring that European market expectations are addressed from the earliest stages of product design.
The Hannover region was selected for its strong technology ecosystem and automotive heritage. It offers an innovation oriented environment, supported by proximity to Leibniz University and internationally recognised research organisations, creating favourable conditions for research collaboration and access to highly specialised talent.
For PRINX Europe, the ETC is designed to strengthen brand confidence and bring the organisation closer to OEMs and professional development networks. For the parent company PRINX Chengshan, the new centre represents an important element of a wider global innovation strategy and a concrete investment in the European market.
Europe is widely regarded as the reference point for tyre performance and regulation, with strict requirements covering areas such as rolling resistance, wet grip, noise emissions, and rubber particle emissions. At the same time, independent testing by major publications intensifies competition and pushes expectations higher in safety and sustainability. Products proven in this environment become strong ambassadors worldwide, because success in Europe is a credible indicator of global competitiveness.

The new Europe Tech Centre will be led by Stefan Fischer, who is responsible for building the ETC’s technical organisation and development capabilities. Fischer brings extensive R and D and leadership experience from major international tyre manufacturers. He reports to Thomas Wohlgemuth, European Managing Director, and Li Chong Bing, Head of Global Research and Development in China.
The centre’s responsibilities extend across multiple areas, including the development of new product lines for different tyre segments, evaluation programmes including regional test track activities, support for European original equipment development, innovation projects, and strategic partnerships with external centres of excellence such as universities, research institutes, and specialist suppliers. ETC engineers will also work closely with internal sales teams so that market trends and customer needs can be integrated early into product development.
This flagship focus is reinforced in motorsport as well. From the 2026 season onwards, PRINX takes the lead brand position within its multi year partnership with Garrett Truck Sport, providing a clear brand anchor and stronger momentum for the next phase of the programme. The direction for the coming season was shaped during a strategic meeting in London, where both teams aligned on future priorities, creative consistency, and how the partnership will be expressed on and off the track.
With PRINX leading the motorsport platform, the programme also supports the brand’s growing presence in the European commercial tyre market and the continued rollout of the PRINX Truck and Bus range. Performance, reliability, and long term collaboration remain at the centre of a shared vision that links motorsport ambition with real world business needs.
While PRINX takes the flagship role, the Group continues to present a balanced house of brands. Austone Tyres and Fortune Tyres remain core parts of the portfolio, with Chengshan Tyres completing the brand family. Together, the brands move forward under one unified platform, offering clarity and consistency to partners across Europe.
